Livermore Road/Trail begins from the parking area as a wide dirt road (groomed in winter) before becoming a singletrack trail that eventually connects to the Kancamagus Scenic Byway. It provides access to many Waterville Valley attractions: Greeley Ponds, The Boulder, Big Pines, Kettles, The Scaur, Flume, Norway Rapids, White Cascade, Tripyramids, Scaur Ridge Trail, and Old Skidder Trail.
A half mile from the parking lot, Boulder Path leads right 200 feet to the grand prominence sitting in Slide Brook. It is not advisable to cross the brook to make the connection to Lower Snows XC Trail and eventually to Cascade Path.
0.6 miles from the parking lot, Big Pines Path heads north (left) to four large white pines.
1.8 miles from the parking lot, Norway Rapids Trail diverges right to the rapids on Slide Brook. It is not recommended to cross the brook to Lower Snows XC Trail and on to Cascade Path.
2.2 miles from the parking lot, Livermore Road becomes Livermore Trail. Proceed 300 feet to enjoy White Cascade on the right.
Livermore Trail continues 5.5 miles to the Kancamagus Scenic Byway over wetlands and a number of unbridged streams.
Use the Connecting Trails feature below the trail map to find detailed postings for the other trails that connect to the Livermore Road/Trail.
Fees: There is a daily $5 parking fee at Livermore Road Parking area.
