Many loops and routes are possible through the Pine Mountain network.
The Gorham Rec Trail is an easy doubletrack trail that crosses through the network, linking many of the singletrack trails.
The Pump House loop is an easy 2 mile route for beginners. It is flowy, mostly flat, kid-friendly. This ride can be extended by linking to the nearby Gorham Rec Trail.
For the intermediate rider, a 5 mile route loops from Old River Road to For Pete's Sake. From the Gorham Rec Trail, Old River Road follows the Moose River upstream for 1.5 miles (many choice river stops are found along the way). At the power line there is a short steep climb. From the top are impressive views of Mt. Madison and Mt. Adams. Further down the singletrack there is a sign for For Pete's Sake, a rippin' fast 1.5 mile downhill. A left turn at the bottom of the hill closes the loop to the Gorham Rec Trail.
Carry On and Baggage Claim are short but challenging trails suitable for advanced riders. Carry On starts after a right turn at the bottom of For Pete's Sake and provides access to Baggage Claim and Pat Down. Baggage Claim is loaded with jumps, berms, and rock features while Pat Down is a friendlier downhill that is still packed with fun features.
A detailed map of the network that includes difficulty ratings for the individual trails is available from the Coos Cycling Club.
These mountain biking trails are part of a growing purpose-built mountain biking network maintained by the Coos Cycling Club, a non-profit organization dedicated to growing the mountain biking community through trail-building, group rides for all levels and ages, and vibrant events.
