Description

The summer (May 15 - November 1) uphill trail starts up the west side of the mountain along the Wizard Trail for approximately 0.4 miles, before cutting off into the woods on the left to track up through the Wardrobe glade. This provides a nice wooded yet steep hike in the shade for about a half mile (0.9 mi from start).

To make it a loop, hikers can come back down Talisman and across through Heart of Magician to return down through the Hallows (1.9 mi round trip, 1,080 feet of elevation gain).

Other Information

  • Disc golf is also available in the summer.
  • Pets are permitted during summer months; however, no dogs are allowed to accompany uphill travelers (even on a leash) when the mountain is open to the public, as you put the dog and other people at risk of injury. Dogs can accompany snowshoe uphillers, but it is mandatory that dogs be on a short leash (6’ max) at all times to protect other skiers/riders. Uphillers must pick up after their dogs and carry out the bags and dispose of them properly at home, not on Magic property.

Trail Tips

Plan Ahead and Prepare
Make a Plan B before you head out the door. If the parking lot is full when you arrive at the trailhead, go to your second destination.
