Description

The Intervale Center grooms a network of trails within the Winooski Valley floodplain during the winter when snow and weather conditions permit. Color coded markers are placed along the trails and at junctions to mark the way. The Orange Trail offers a good warm up with a half mile loop. For a longer loop, link the Green, Blue, and Yellow Trails to make a 2.75 mile circuit. Although groomed for skiing, winter still sees a high volume of foot traffic at the intervale, so expect footprints on the corduroy. If snowshoeing or walking, please stay off of the classic ski track.

Trail Tips

Dispose of Waste Properly
Keep the Twin States (Vermont & New Hampshire) green and clean! Pick up trash, even if it's not yours. Leave soon-to-be trash like excess packaging, stickers, and twist ties at home.

Trailhead Information

From Riverside Avenue, take Intervale Road down to the Intervale. Park in the roadside parking across from the Tommy Thompson Community Garden or at another lot closer to the Intervale Center.
