Short, but beautiful trails travel through fields, woods, and shoreline on the conserved Bluffside Farm, just outside downtown Newport. Nature enthusiasts can catch sight of eagles, waterfowl and songbirds in the varied habitats, catch a breeze off of Lake Memphremagog and enjoy a casual outing to a beautiful place.
The trails from the main parking area are natural surfaced with varying terrain and footing. The Newport Bike Path, which travels through the eastern side of the property, is accessible, stone dust/gravel surfaced and 4+ feet wide. A newly constructed bridge connects the farm property to Prouty Beach.
In the fall, the farm is open to limited hunting. Interested deer hunters can add their name to a hunting lottery.
