The Williston Bike Paths are a series of connector trails between Williston Village and Taft Corners. The level, 10 foot wide paved lane is suitable for walkers, bikers, strollers, wheelchairs, and those with mobility challenges. It varies between passing through community parks and natural areas, and along roadways, at times directly alongside the road and at times with a berm between.
The eastern-most portion includes 1.5 miles along North Williston Road and Mountain View Road, the 0.2 mile Allen Brook Nature Trail, as well as 1.2 miles through the woods and around the ball fields and disc golf course of Williston Community Park. Much of this section coincides with the Cross Vermont Trail. The Cross Vermont Trail can be used through neighborhood streets between Old Stage Foad and Metcalf Drive to reach the Allen Brook School section of paths.
The 2 mile Allen Brook School portion includes 0.5 miles through fields by the school, 0.5 miles through residential neighborhoods, and 1 mile along roadways to shopping centers. The western terminus of this section of trails connects to the Marshall Avenue Bike Path, at Trader Lane.
There is an additional section of the bike paths to the north, along Williston Road and Essex Road, just above Tafts Corner.
Use caution at road crossings.
