The Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion Historic Site is the former home of New Hampshire's first royal governor, Benning Wentworth, who served in office from 1741 to 1767. The rambling 40-room mansion which overlooks Little Harbor, is one of the most outstanding homes remaining of the colonial era. The site offers sweeping harbor views, tidal beaches suitable for swimming or fishing, and an Information Center where visitors can learn more about the area history.
Little Harbor Loop Trail: Take a stroll on this 1.5 mile waterside path that connects the Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion Historic Site, Creek Farm and Portsmouth Conservation Land. Free parking and trail access are available at the Wentworth-Coolidge Mansion Historic Site.
Fees: Fees are not required.
Hours: May 29 - September 2: 10am - 4pm daily; September 6 - October 14: weekends only; October 14 - May 29: closed for the season.
Tours: Tours are available at 10am, 11am, 12pm, 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm.
