The trails in the Smarts Brook Network provide multiple options for easy walking loops in the summer and ungroomed skiing loops in the winter.
The five trails in the Smarts Brook Network are Smarts Brook, Tri-Town, Yellow Jacket, Pine Flats, and Old Waterville Road. Smarts Brook Trail passes swimming holes, beaver ponds, and a boulder field before heading up Sandwich Mountain (See the Sandwich Mountain page for more details on that hike). The network provides enjoyable options for easy walking, snowshoeing, ungroomed skiing, loop hiking, dog-walking, waterfall/gorge viewing, picnicking, pine forest trekking, an 1800s cemetery, mountain biking, and historical investigation.
