The Profile Trail is 2.3 miles and located in the town of Bethlehem and goes between US-3 and US-302. The trail is made up of a section of the the old Bethlehem narrow gauge Profile & Franconia Notch Railroad. Now the level trail is surfaced in gravel, ballast, dirt, and grass. Because the surface is somewhat varied, mountain bikes are recommended over road bikes.
ATVs are permitted with snowcover only.
Trail conditions change often due to weather or maintenance schedules. Before you head out, click here for up-to-date conditions and closure information.
For more information about the trail, check out New Hampshire's Recreational Rail Trails online, or contact:
NH Bureau of TrailsTo access the trail from central Bethlehem, drive east out of town on US-302/Main Street. Turn right onto Muchmore Road and then right at the T-intersection. Parking for the trail is available on the left side of the road near the railroad trestle.
