This footpath first parallels Deweys Pond Road as it runs under the tree line along the edge of the polo field. Reaching the Quechee Main Street intersection, cross Deweys Pond Road, and then cross Quechee Main Street. Path continues west to Marshland Farm. Continue across the Quechee Inn's front lawn to follow the pathway to Quechee Village. The goal of the trail is to reach the Quechee Club and extend to meet the trails at VINS.
Alternatively, half way along the Ottauquechee Trail, the Quechee Gorge Trail system intersects at the white Quechee Inn fence and continues back across Main Street to pass by Deweys Pond.
Tropical Storm Irene damaged much of the trail in 2011, including several small bridges. Volunteer work in the spring of 2012 resulted in the re-opening of the trail from the Polo Field on Deweys Pond Road to the Cemetery at Old Quechee Road (near the Quechee Village).
