Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail: The Ammonoosuc Ravine Trail is a popular hiking route up Mount Washington, leading 2.8 miles up to Lakes of The Clouds Hut beneath the summit. From the trailhead, the trail climbs steadily up the ravine along the Ammonoosuc River. Hikers are quickly rewarded with sweeping views to the north. Certain sections of the trail cross streams and exposed rock making them challenging or dangerous when wet. After 2.8 miles, hikers break out above the tree line and into the alpine zone. The trail ends at Lakes of the Clouds and the Appalachian Mountain Club's Lakes of the Clouds hut. The hut is open for public day use June through mid-September, and available for overnight guest stays on a reservation basis.

To reach the summit of Mount Washington, follow Crawford Path (Appalachian Trail) 1.5 miles to the summit.

Jewell Trail: From the Ammonoosuc Ravine Trailhead, cross the road to the start of the Jewell Trail. The Jewell Trail climbs 3.4 miles to the ridgeline of the Presidential Range below Mount Clay. To continue towards the Mount Washington summit, turn right to follow the Gulfside Trail 1 mile to the Trinity Heights Connector Trail. Follow the Connector Trail 0.1 miles to the summit of Mount Washington.

Loop hike options can be made using the above trail systems or the West Side Trail.
