Mount Peg Park is owned by the Town of Woodstock and managed by the Town's Billings Park Commission. It began in 1908 with a land donation from Elizabeth Billings, and grew by 44 acres in 2002 thanks to community support. Trails are for hiking, snowshoeing and cross country skiing, except for a short mountain biking spur trail to the summit. The summit has beautiful views.
Mount Peg’s trails are wonderful for winter adventures on snowshoes or cross-country skis; please note that the trails are not groomed. Woodstock Inn’s Nordic Center offers groomed cross-country ski trails south of Mount Peg Park. Snowshoers can use the Nordic Center trails with a pass.
