This loop trail links an old A.T. route with the current A.T. and privately conserved land. Start at the top of the Happy Hill Road on the blue-blazed William Tucker trail, an old woods road that was formerly the A.T. This trail reaches the A.T. in 0.8 miles. From here, turn right to hike southbound on the A.T. for 0.2 miles to the stone Happy Hill Shelter. To continue on the loop, turn left instead and hike 1.4 miles on the A.T. to the junction with Cossingham Road. Stay left until you reach Bragg Hill Road. Turn left again to turn onto Happy Hill road and continue on for 0.5 miles to your car.
Please keep pets leashed while walking through the Cossingham pastures.

If you decide to go clockwise, the AT trail intersection isn't far from where Cossingham Trail enters the woods so keep your eyes sharp for the white blaze. The piece of trail from the end of Happy Hill Rd to the AT is marked as Tucker Trail. It intersects with the AT at a stone cairn. There's a bunch of well used trails off of Tucker Trail to the south which all seem to have no bike signs on them.
There's additional trails from the Cossingham Rd lot, which you can see on the trail map, but they don't seem to have their own listing on Trailfinder. I posted a picture of that additional trailmap on this listing.
Beautiful hike, really beautiful area, trails are all well maintained. Cossingham Trail has some lovely views from the top of the hill.
