The Crown Hill Trail System is a combination of two yellow blazed conservation parcels of old field roads and both hiking and mountain biking trails that meander of rolling, new forested hills and streams through a network of 18th century stonewalls. They are connected by a red blazed trail corridor that parallels and shares trails of the Plaistow and Hampstead trail systems. Points of interest are the old tri-town (A/P/H) boundary marker and Noyes rock shelter.
Atkinson Trail Use Guidelines
The Atkinson Conservation Commission was established in 1974 with the mission to provide a focal point within the town for environmental concerns. It is responsible for establishing public use regulations for the Town’s conservation lands and welcomes community volunteers to help maintain its trails. The Town’s trails are for passive recreation only and all motorized vehicles are prohibited on conservation land, including snowmobiles.
Atkinson Conservation CommissionThe primary trailhead is located on East Road on the Atkinson/Hampstead town line. There is only off-road parking for one car between the stone walls.
