Enjoy an easy and peaceful nature walk on Starr Hill at Alice Peck Day Memorial Hospital (APD). The lightly trafficked trails feature gentle elevation and three well-marked loops full of wildflowers, rock formations and exposed bedrock, and a wetlands. Highlights include over 50 species of wildflowers and wildlife which include spotted salamander, wood frog, woodpecker, turkey, fox, fisher, deer, bear, and moose.

These trails are privately owned by APD Hospital and open to the public for 4-season non-motorized use. Lebanon Parks and Recreation grooms the trails in the winter for XC-skiing and snowshoeing.

Alice Peck Day Memorial HospitalThe APD Nature Trails have four trailheads. The main APD trailhead has a dedicated dirt parking lot, while Woodlands East trailhead, Woodlands West trailhead, and Harvest Hill trailhead are accessed from paved resident/visitor lots.
Via I-89, from the South
Take Exit 19, and turn left off the exit onto Mechanic Street. Continue straight for approximately a half-mile, turn left under the railroad bridge (low 8' 10” underpass) and bear right onto Mascoma Street. Go 0.25 miles and turn left on to Alice Peck Day Drive. The dedicated dirt parking lot for the APD trailhead is located to the right of the main hospital.
