The Ruth Shepard trail, developed in partnership with Lebanon Recreation and Parks, Upper Valley Trails Alliance, Eagle Scout Will Sagraves, Tuck Trails, and community volunteers, provides an accessible trail link from the Northern Rail Trail to the Lebanon Memorial Pool.
On behalf of Lebanon's Recreation and Parks Department, the Upper Valley Trails Alliance provided design consultation and trail building oversight for Will Sagraves' Eagle Scout project involving this new trail connector. Will named the trail in memory of a good family friend and mentor, Ruth Shepard. A grand opening celebration was held June 18th, 2012, coinciding with the opening of the Lebanon Memorial Pool season.
