Red Rocks Park is one of the most beautiful parks in South Burlington. Trails loop through hemlock and pine forests and emerge onto the rocky shoreline, where there are spectacular views of Lake Champlain, Shelburne Bay, and the Adirondacks. A very popular swimming spot. It's a short bike ride from Red Rocks park to Oakledge Park and the beginning of the Island Line Trail. Biking is not allowed on Red Rock's foot trails.
The park offers a swimming beach (no lifeguards) and bathrooms are open in the summer from 12-6pm. Other amenities include a ticket/information booth at the entrance and a small picnic shelter with tables and grills. There is a small fee for parking mid-June through mid-August. For dates and fees visit the South Burlington Recreation and Parks website.
