Description

Pingree Park is a multi-use town park with tennis and pickleball courts, a basketball court, ball fields, playgound, picnic pavillion, porta-potty and a dog park.

To access the trail, park in the lot facing the basketball court and proceed to the trailhead off to the left. Note the trail sign and pawprint blazes on trees. The trail winds gently uphill through wooded glades with tall white pine trees towering above. After a short, moderate decent, the trail meets a stone wall adjacent to Utley Brook. Here the trail turns right and heads back toward the park with the brook on your left. The trail climbs back to the park, crossing a wooden bridge before emerging from the woods near the tennis court.

Trail Tips

Plan Ahead and Prepare
Make a Plan B before you head out the door. If the parking lot is full when you arrive at the trailhead, go to your second destination.

Trailhead Information

Pingree Park is located off Old Stowell Hill Rd. in Londonderry. From the Mountain Marketplace in Londonderry (at the intersection of VT-100S and VT-11) proceed west and uphill on Old Stowell Hill Rd., with the cemetery on your right. Go a short distance and see the entrance to Pingree Park on your right. Turn in and then turn right again to enter the park.

The parking lot is plowed in winter, so this area can be enjoyed for x-country skiing or snowshoeing.
