The Oak View Hill Trail passes along a public trail easement across the privately owned Isham Family Farm. This farm has been operated by the Isham Family for many generations and was conserved by the Town and the Vermont Land Trust in 2002. Formerly a jersey cow dairy farm, the Isham Family Farm has now diversified to include maple sugaring, berry picking, vegetables, and even Christmas trees.
The 1.2 mile loop trail at Oak View Hill passes by some of the Isham's farm fields, as well as through their working sugarbush. Trail rises slowly from fields into the woods. Highlights include a beautiful small pond and a small wooded knoll from which you can see wonderful views of Camel's Hump and Mount Mansfield on clear days. Please respect the fact that this trail passes through private land and do not stray from the marked trail.
