The Mount Willard Trail is a scenic 1.5-mile trail up Mount Willard located in the heart of Crawford Notch. Beginning from Crawford Notch Depot, cross the railroad tracks and follow the Avalon Trail for 0.1 miles to where the Mount Willard Trail begins on the left. The trail steadily climbs to the the summit of Mount Willard (2,865'), offering a sweeping view to the south of Crawford Notch and the Saco River Valley.

Appalachian Mountain ClubCrawford Notch Depot: From Interstate 95, take Exit 35 for US-3 N, just north of Franconia Notch. Take US-3 10.4 miles to Twin Mountain, then turn right to head East on US-302 towards Crawford Notch. Continue 8.9 miles on US-302 through Crawford Notch, and just beyond the AMC Highland Center, the historic train station Crawford Notch Depot is on the right. Park in front of the train station and the trail for Mount Willard crosses the tracks and heads uphill.
