The Madison Boulder Trail is a well graded forest road that leads to the Madison Boulder, an extremely large glacial erratic, just 0.25 miles from the trailhead. The road is approximately 8 feet wide and with a crushed stone surface. At the end of the forest road, a short Loop Trail circles the boulder site.
