From the parking lot walk east, keeping Lefferts Pond picnic area on your right. Go over the old stone bridge and then approximately 0.5 miles to a T-intersection with the VAST snowmobile trail. Turn right at the T and go 0.7 miles to Wildcat Road. Turn right onto the Wildcat Road and walk 0.5 miles on the road back to the gate. Turn right through the gate and walk 0.5 miles back to the parking lot. Elevation gain: 100 feet.
Points of interest include: remains of an old lodge and an old milldam.
The Chittenden Reservoir and Lefferts Pond area is a day use area and no camping or fires are allowed.
Cross-country skiing and horseback riding are available on Lefferts Pond Trails, but users must obtain a day pass from the Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Turn left onto Meadow Lake Drive for 1.7 miles to its end at Chittenden Road. Turn right onto Chittenden Road for 2.9 miles where it becomes Dam Road. Continue on Dam Road for 1.4 miles to Wildcat Road. Bear right onto Wildcat Road for 0.9 miles to a gateway on the left. Turn left through the gate and proceed 0.5 miles to the parking lot.
