The trail begins along an easy ascent through open hardwoods on old woods roads. After passing through a stand of maple trees with active sugaring lines, the trail crosses a logging road and then starts to climb steeply. There are large, loose rocks to scramble over along this steep climb. At 2.4 miles, the Jerusalem Trail reaches the Long Trail.
The Jerusalem Trail is located on private timberland. Access is provided thanks to the generosity of the owner.

Turn left onto Jim Dwire Road, and go 0.5 miles to the trailhead on the right. Roadside parking space is limited; please park considerately.
