Description

The trailhead is to the right of the woods road as you walk in. At the trailhead you will find the cellar hole from the old Frye Farm, circa 1810-1920. Enter the forest around the metal gate.

There are 3 locational signs, and 3 clearly marked trails. Terrain is slightly rolling with one or two moderate hills.

The blue trail is the most scenic of the 3 trails as it follows Bartlett Brook. It can become flooded from beaver activity at the western end so bushwhacking may be required to reach the red trail loop. Near the end of the blue trail there is a sassafrass grove and an impressive double beaver dam. The forest is primarily oak and white pine.
