The Boulder Loop Trail is a popular 2.7 mile hiking loop off the Kancamagus Highway that in short order gains stunning views of the Passaconaway Valley. Beginning along the Swift River and heading clockwise around the loop, the trail quickly climbs 1.2 miles and 1000' up through mixed forest to a spur trail for the overlook ledges. Follow the spur trail 0.1 miles out to the ledges. On the way down, the trail passes through an impressive boulder field and other highlighted geologic features.
