Currently a 3.8 mile lollipop loop consisting of Rick's Road and Cloudspin provides bikers a quick jaunt through the beautiful Weathersfield Town Forest. Plans are in the works to expand the trail network in this area and eventually link to an around-the-mountain adventure route.
The Weathersfield Town Forest connects to Mt. Ascutney State Park and the Ascutney Trails offering a vast array of recreation opportunities on the flanks of Mt. Ascutney. Visit the trail pages for each trail system for more details or go to the trail map tab and click "Show" next to the Connector Trails to see how the trails connect.

Please note that dogs are allowed on the trail system. If you bring your dog, please:
Keep your dog on a leash at all trailheads and parking areas.
Be aware of the impact on others by having your dog on the trail. We want everyone to have a great trail experience.
Always maintain control of your dog and keep it within sight. Do not allow it to chase or disturb other animals or wildlife.
Bring along a poop bag, scoop your poop, and pack the bag out with you... Do not leave on the side of the trail.

Ascutney Trails AssociationThe trails in the Weathersfield Town forest can be accessed from the Swoops and Loops parking area, which is across VT-44 from the main entrance to Mt. Ascutney State Park. Bike down VT-44 toward I-91 then turn right at a gated road that becomes Rick's Road.
