Trail Details

Trailhead: From Burlington, cross the Winooski bridge. Take the roundabout to Route 15 (East Allen Street). Take a left onto Dion Street, then a right turn onto Lafountain Street. Go under the I-89 overpass, then take the next left onto Gilbrook Road. The trailhead is at the end of the road, look for the signs.

The trail has many offshoots which take you through wetlands and hilly forest areas. The pond is quite lovely. A picnic spot and educational signs about the ecology of the area make this a fun experience for visitors. Pets are permitted.  Most of the trail is wooded and flat, with one small dip down and back up a very small hill at the dam.

Very pleasant walking through woodland and wetlands, although not much solitude--a lot of athletes use these trails for jogging. A nice mixture of trails, but it could benefit greatly from named trails, signs, and blazes.
